GSK Science in the Summer™, is a fun and free science education program for students entering second through sixth grades, which began in 1986. Sponsored by GSK and offered in partnership with The Franklin Institute and UNC Morehead Planetarium, the program takes place in science centers, community centers, and libraries across the country.
The Be a Chemist! program invites children to play the role of chemists and discover the importance of chemistry to fields as varied as medicine, manufacturing, art, and environmental conservation. The sessions encourage students to practice scientific techniques and explore basic principles of chemistry as they investigate these questions:
